Lincoln Land Community College is seeking Student Workers to provide assistance to Child Development Center staff in providing care to children ages 15 months to entry to kindergarten at the college’s Child Development Center in Springfield.
Student Workers will perform the following duties:

- Provide assistance in Child Development Center classroom’s under direction of Child Development Center Staff
- Assist in meal preparation and clean up and laundry duties
- Clean, gather, and rotate classroom materials for Child Development Staff
- Provide coverage for staff breaks and lunches
All LLCC Student Workers have the following institutional responsibilities:
- Uphold LLCC’s mission, as well as certain standards of conduct within the College and in dealings with students, staff, faculty and the general public.
- Responsible for compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations with regard to confidentiality of and access to student and other institutional records.
Student Workers will be paid minimum wage and will be scheduled to work up to 20 hours per week during the center’s operational hours of Monday through Friday, 6:45AM-6PM.
Requirements include the following:
- Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer term
- Complete LLCC’s mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employment
- Minimum GPA 2.0
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED)
- Must complete DCFS Health Examination including TB test
- Must receive clearance through DCFS Background Check
Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, 2-step TB test and physical.
