Job Summary: Clinic Practice Manager
The Clinic Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a healthcare clinic. They are tasked with ensuring efficient and effective patient care, managing staff, and coordinating administrative tasks. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations.
Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical practice
- Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Coordinate patient scheduling and ensure timely appointments
- Manage billing and insurance claims processes
- Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise clinic staff, including medical professionals, administrative personnel, and support staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance staff productivity and job satisfaction
- Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care
Patient Care:
- Ensure high-quality patient care by establishing and enforcing clinical protocols and standards
- Monitor patient satisfaction levels and implement strategies to improve patient experience
- Collaborate with medical professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Administrative Coordination:
- Oversee the clinic's administrative functions, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals
- Implement and maintain electronic health record systems to ensure accurate and secure documentation
- Liaise with insurance providers to verify patient coverage and facilitate billing processes
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the clinic's budget, monitor expenses, and identify areas for cost optimization
- Collaborate with billing and coding staff to ensure accurate and timely claims submission and reimbursement
- Implement strategies to maximize revenue, such as optimizing appointment scheduling and coordinating with insurance providers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Management, or a related field. Master’s degree (preferred)
- Proven experience in medical or dental office management
- Strong knowledge of managed care, acute care, and critical care practices
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and eClinicalWorks software (preferred)
- Familiarity with human resources processes and procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
