GENERAL SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Director of Behavioral Health Operations to join our team. As the Senior Director, you will act as the operational leader under the direction of the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, to develop and implement both short and long-term strategies and tactics to promote excellence in program operations and outcomes. This is a leadership role that requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.

In collaboration with clinical leaders, the Senior Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all outpatient behavioral health programs and the Children's Wellness Initiative. Other behavioral health service areas may come under the scope of this position in the future. The Senior Director also works with the clinical leaders to align Franciscan Children's programs with those of our affiliate partner, Boston Children's Hospital.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops short and long-term operating plans, with defined metrics, to outline growth goals for increasing access to behavioral health programs.
  • Works with leaders of the outpatient behavioral health programs to create dashboards to track key metrics of success including staff productivity, quality, volume, recruitment and retention.
  • Monitors budget to support operational goals, growth, and flexible staffing model.
  • Works with leaders to ensure optimal productivity, revenue capture and a process to review on an ongoing basis.
  • Develops flexible staffing plans to accommodate current and future demand in outpatient behavioral health services.
  • Coordinates the departmental compliance/utilization review process.
  • Creates operational efficiencies by integrating behavioral health services and processes within broader behavioral health continuum and throughout the organization, when applicable.
  • Works with the program leaders to ensure policies and procedures to meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in integration of outpatient behavioral health services across the Franciscan Children's/Boston Children's Hospital continuum.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree or higher in a related field (Social work, psychology, public health, business, healthcare administration, etc.).
  • Minimum of two years of operational experience in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and deliver results, particularly in outpatient behavioral health settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead change.
  • Ability to create and utilize a dashboard to achieve desired metrics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
