Leadership - Adjunct Faculty
Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to grow an exciting and growing program on campus. We are
seeking instructors who have previously taught at the college level to teach courses such as
Introduction to Leadership, Theories of Leadership, and a Capstone Seminar in leadership.
Through meaningful coursework, practical experiences, and mentoring, the Leadership minor is
designed to help students discover and develop their leadership abilities, grow as servant leaders,
become trusted advisors, and understand the role of leadership in different cultural and
organizational settings. Our curriculum provides an inspirational, as well as intellectually
stimulating, and emotionally engaging experience. The Leadership Minor is “the minor for
everyone” because good leaders are needed in every walk of life, and because we seek to attract
students from across our diverse range of majors to minor in leadership.
General responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

General responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Preparing and carrying out all work for assigned class including syllabi preparation, instruction delivery, and student assessment
- Maintaining regular, published availability for student concerns, or other dialogue
- Attending leadership faculty team meetings 1-2 times per semester
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in leadership, or a related field (terminal degree preferred)
- Appropriate work experience in private, public, or non-profit settings
- Prior experience teaching at the college or university level
If hired, you will need to provide official transcripts for your highest degree.
Physical Demands
This position requires remaining in a sitting or standing position for frequent periods of time; uses office machinery such as a computers, printers, copy machines; Occasionally involves lifting over 10 pounds; frequently will move between different offices/workspaces/buildings; and requires effective communication abilities with students.
