- Assist in the Nursing Laboratories by working with individual and groups of nursing students as they practice required nursing skills.
- Use up to date evidence-based practice and faculty approved standardized evaluation criteria to assess student performance in campus laboratories and simulation settings.
- Provide skill review workshops and student remediations.
- Work with the Lab Manager to set up and break down teaching labs for faculty, inventory and restock supplies, and assist in simulation activities.
- Facilitate safe practice experiences for nursing students. Set-up and maintain all technological equipment for student and faculty use, diagnose problems with equipment and make appropriate referrals for correction. Provide routine lab maintenance including cleaning, repairing, and troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment (i.e. IV equipment, manikins, medication carts, etc.).
- Participate in Lab meetings; assist Lab Manager to orient new faculty and staff to equipment, supplies and laboratory procedures.
