Manager, Human Resources, Medical Foundation (On-Site)
At NorthBay Health the Manager, Human Resources provides full range of human resources services to the NorthBay Health Medical Foundation. In collaboration with the HR leaders and the SVP of Human Resources, develops and implements new and revised best practice policies, procedures and Human Resources programs in support of the Medical Foundation. Provides general HR related services in compensation, employee relations, benefits, leave of absence services to the Medical Foundation. Serves as a member of the Human Resources Department’s Leadership Team. Participates as required on hospital or system-wide committees and special projects teams. Leads special HR initiative projects as assigned. Supports all HR initiatives.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. College level coursework in HR, current national certification in HR required
Experience:
- Seven years of experience as a HR professional with a background in employee relations specialist and/or HR generalist.
- Prior Medical Foundation experience preferred.
- At least three years at a leadership or management level in Human Resources.
- Two years prior experience in a healthcare system.
- Substantial HR generalist and policy writing experience required.
- Knowledge of hospital and/or Medical Group accreditation standards strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent research and analysis, budgeting, organizational, oral and written communication skills required.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Advanced level of proficiency in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications required to support project work required.
- Effective consulting, facilitation, questioning, and group process skills required.
- Instructional design skills highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of, and appropriate application of, the following: Federal and State law and regulations regarding employment, discrimination, wage and hour, benefits administration, Compliance agency enforcement and administration processes, dispute resolution techniques, ADA, OSHA, SB 198, and Workers’ Compensation are required.
- Requires a high level of comfort with taking initiative and being accountable for team work and service excellence.

Hours of Work:
- Based on business need, primarily office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Does require routine and emergency travel to all System campuses, and occasional off-site, off-hour work.
Compensation
- $ 140-160 based on previous HR management level experience
