Job Description

The CTE Program Information Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive and accurate information about Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to prospective students and community partners. This role requires a strong understanding of CTE programs, effective communication skills, and the ability to address inquiries efficiently. The Specialist will collaborate closely with all campus partners to ensure students receive the information they need to make informed decisions about their educational pathways.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries about CTE programs, including curriculum, admissions requirements, financial aid options, and career pathways.
  • Coordinate tours and events of CTE facilities, field days, and workshops.
  • Manage information requests for CTE-related activities at regional high schools.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CTE programs, providing in-depth knowledge to campus stakeholders.
  • Oversee a team of CTE Peer Mentors to support all of the above activities through the student lens. 
  • Collaborate and assist CTE faculty and program managers in developing informative materials and resources.
  • Track and analyze inquiry data to identify trends and improve information delivery.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on CTE education and industry trends.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in student services, admissions, or outreach is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of CTE programs and industry trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using technology for information management and communication.
