Montgomery College, Germantown Campus, has an immediate need for a full-time Operations & Tenant Engagement Manager at The Pickney Innovation Complex for Science and Technology (PIC MC). The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. This is an exempt, non-bargaining, grade 31 position. The Operations & Tenant Engagement Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing tenant engagement at PIC MC. This role focuses on operational leadership and developing strategies to enhance tenant relations, ensuring alignment with PIC MC’s strategic goals and the College’s Transformational Aspirations of Access, Completion, and Post-Completion Success. Current tenant relationships for which this position will be responsible for stewarding include: Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, Hughes Network Systems, and the Germantown Innovation Center (GIC). This position also plays a critical role in driving innovation, supporting economic development initiatives, and ensuring the seamless operation of PIC MC.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and manage daily operations of PIC MC, ensuring efficiency and resource management through the utilization of tools like Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Formulate and implement marketing and communication strategies for PIC MC.
- Assist the Executive Director of PIC MC with special projects and manage all related administrative tasks.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure alignment with College goals and priorities.
- Lead and support operational staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Support board relations and management in collaboration with the Executive Director and administrative support staff.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records and files related to PIC MC operations.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders from varying backgrounds at all levels of the College and within stakeholder organizations.
- Engage with local and regional economic and workforce development initiatives, fostering partnerships that align with PIC MC’s mission and enhance tenant opportunities, including collaboration with organizations like Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC)CEDC, Bio Health Innovation (BHI), and Maryland Tech Council.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Five years of experience in operational management and tenant relations, with at least three years in a technology or bioscience park, economic development, or workforce development environment.
- Three years of experience with financial and budget management.
- The equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of financial management and strategic planning.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and academic institutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Previous experience working in non-profit management and higher education a plus, but not required.
Salary range: $76,679–- $122,664 annually. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range ($76,679 - $99,671 annually), based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity.
