Our Opportunity
South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Program Coordinator in the Humanities and Communications Division.
The College's mission is to promote student success in both post-secondary academic transfer and workforce education, addressing the needs of the South Sound region. This position contributes to that mission by offering administrative support to the dean, faculty, and staff of the Humanities and Communication division.

What You'll Do
Essential Function- Manage and track check-outs
Tasks include:
- Manage and track book and equipment check-outs by implementing a robust system that ensures all items are accounted for and easily retrievable.
- Regularly review and update inventory lists to avoid discrepancies.
- Assist the art technician and faculty in all areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Function- Support the Digital Media Lab
Tasks include:
- Staff open lab hours by providing a welcoming space for students to seek assistance, collaborate on projects, and enhance their learning experiences.
- Assist the art technician and faculty by answering questions, providing guidance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Function- General Administrative Tasks
Tasks include:
- Assist with purchasing and maintaining purchasing database logs to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and updated in real-time.
- Conduct audits to verify data integrity, and any discrepancies must be investigated promptly.
- Provide support to the administrative assistant.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Possess
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience
- Excellent written and oral skills and working knowledge of computers and software applications, specifically Microsoft Office, and online applications
- Strong commitment to customer service
- Strong aptitude for attention to detail
- Commitment to a working environment that values a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and accommodate numerous interruptions is essential
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others and function as a team member
