Job Summary

The Department of Pathology is seeking a qualified Medical Technologist to work in the Immunology laboratory located at NCRC in Ann Arbor MI. The role of a Medical Technologist in Immunology is to process and analyze patient samples and accurately report test results within established time limits.

A baccalaureate degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science with clinical laboratory experience, and eligibility for medical technology certification by a professional society.

Desired Qualifications*

A baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology with certification by an accepted professional agency is preferred.  Experience with ELISA, immunofluoresence and electrophoresis methodologies is desirable.

Work Schedule

This full time, 40 hour position is on the day shift and will be M-F 7:30 to 3:30.

Work Locations

This position is located in the Immunology Laboratory of the Clinical Pathology Department which is located in the NCRC complex at 2800 Plymouth Rd, Ann Arbor MI.

$3000 signing bonus available.

This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
