Accounts Receivable Analyst
Job Description
Summary
Responsible for providing excellent student service. Must be available to work until 6 p.m. during peak times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists students with student account related issues.
- Post payments to both student accounts and company accounts.
- Account for daily receipts.
- Prepare daily deposits.
- Responsible for posting transactions to students’ accounts for both credit and credit-free.
- Responsible for processing address changes and verifying residency coding.
- Responsible for all student invoicing.
- Help with purge process for each semester (Spring, Summer, Fall).
- Handle purge of daily students who do not pay after payment due date.
- Responsible for reconciling all student accounts on a quarterly basis.
- Handling turning all student accounts over to a collection agency once they are delinquent.
- Assists with Dual Enrollment billing, payments, and scholarships.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
*Office hours are extended during peak registration periods.
Qualifications:
Required
Education
- Associate’s degree in accounting from an accredited institution OR high school diploma or equivalent?
Certifications
- Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)
Work Experience
- Minimum of one year work experience in an office setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge.
Preferred
- Bilingual
- Experience in billing and accounts receivable.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
