Your Role
The People & Engagement HR:Connect team is the intake team for all employee-related questions as it relates to HR programs, benefits, and other inquires. The HR Connect, Specialist will report to the HR:Connect, Manager. In this role, providing first level support to all BSC employees on a daily basis for both daily operations and employee-facing initiatives. As the highest level of support, you may occasionally handle escalations from HR:Connect team members. You will be assisting employees on all things Human Resources through enabling self-service, providing phone, chat, and case-based support in addition to executing employee lifecycle transactions.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a minimum of 7 years related experience, including at least 3 years of Human Resources operations or other HR experience in an HR specific role
- Requires advanced knowledge within a specific discipline typically gained through extensive work experience and/or education
- Requires overall understanding and experience of the HR function
- Requires customer service expereince
- Requires strong knowledge of HR principles, practices and regulations, with a demonstrated ability to apply them in a practical, solution-oriented manner
- Requires technical skills and experience with Microsoft office (especially Excel), HRIS and Payroll management systems
- Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Requires one to be self-motivated, solutions oriented, able to work independently, and values team collaboration
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 26.37 to $ 36.92 for California.

Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
