Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team inSan Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide management oversight for contractors and consultants, focusing on cost, schedule, and daily project activities.
- Lead the design process to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct scheduled meetings to review project status and create punch lists.
- Support customer activities related to installation, modification, and upgrades to facilities.
- Develop and recommend schematics, designs, specifications, and material lists.
- Oversee on-site installation and upgrades of equipment, ensuring compliance with testing procedures.
- Create project schedules and assign tasks to meet project timelines.
- Ensure fulfillment of maintenance contracts and proper documentation of services.
- Facilitate working groups to address project requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates and programming data to support facility missions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating with government and contractor engineers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Experience:
- 5+ years professional experience in Program/Project Management
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as installation drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English and comfortable speaking in group settings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members and upper management.
- Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
