Job Summary

The University of Michigan's Department of Internal Medicine invites applications for the position of Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology

The division chief is responsible for the academic, clinical, educational and administrative initiatives of the division. Candidates should have established credentials as an administrator and have proven leadership expertise. Candidates should have demonstrated scholarly distinction appropriate for a tenure track appointment at the associate professor/professor level. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

The division chief is paired with a division administrator that fully supports the administrative needs of the division. The division chief is expected to develop a strong and effective working relationship with the administrator to support the strategic direction of the division.

Required Qualifications*

Candidates must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree at a minimum.

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Background Screening
