Job Description
This is a full time, salaried position at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest. This role is 3 days-12 hour shift with a start time of 06:30am- 7pm, with some flexibility with hours. Includes a rotating administrative call one time per month.
This position is eligible for a New Hire Bonus up to $8.5K, and the Supervisor incentive compensation plan

Responsibilities include: Participates in SSI project, assists with team schedules, and Krono system management. Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership Charge RN responsibilities for the nursing unit. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
- Must remain in original department/specialty
- Must remain in original Job Title
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Two years OR RN experience,

One year in a leadership role (Charge OR RN experience is accepted) Include this on your resume

Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.

Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care. Graduate of an accredited program.

Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
Preferred Qualifications:

5 years OR experience

2 years leadership experience
-
BSN and/or certification in area of specialty if applicable.
