Job Description:
- Teach Social Work courses in the Behavioral Sciences Department under the Behavioral, Social Sciences and Global Learning Division
- Courses may include Introduction to Social Work, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Equity and Cultural Wealth in Social Work Practice, Social Welfare Policy and Practice, and Interviewing and Documentation in Social Work
- Courses may be offered at any of the BHCC campuses, satellite campuses, partner sites, or instructional sites, including but not limited to Madison Park High School, Malden High School, PAO Center, and Freedom House.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Social Work or related field.
- Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
- Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
- Community college teaching experience preferred.
Additional Information:
Salary: $1,343 Per Credit Hour
Effective Date: Fall 2024 semester; open until filled
