- Occupational Summary
Craven Community College is seeking to expand our pool of part-time faculty to teach classes in the Workforce Development Department. Openings for these positions may not exist at the present time; however upon review of your qualifications, you may be contacted directly by the department on an as needed basis.
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Instructor is responsible for providing instruction and performing related activities for the Workforce Development Department. The Instructor develops curriculum, selects textbooks and materials, evaluates student proficiency, manages lab and/or field work and clinical activities, and maintains program standards. Works with Coordinator and/or Program Director on classroom related issues to include inventory, equipment, purchase orders and daily operational tasks. The percentage of time spent teaching and handling classroom administration tasks may shift slightly depending on class scheduling during the term. This job requires flexible hours; days, nights and possibly weekends.
- Minimum Qualifications
As required by particular course, lab, program.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working
relationships with students, peers, supervisors and staff
Working knowledge of MS Office products
Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom
